Testimony

I came to know the Lord as my Savior when I was five years old during a Vacation Bible School. I saw my sin and asked the Lord to cleanse me and forgive me. His grace made me whole. Since that time, He has continued to sanctify me and teach me His ways. Below is detailed Description of what I believe:

-I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, both the Old and New Testaments, and that holy men of old wrote as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20; Proverbs 30: 5,6; I Thess. 2:13.

-I believe in one God, eternal, living, true, and self-existing; who consists of three persons in the Godhead, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; Who are the creators. Mark 12:29; John 1:1-4; Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 5:3-4; II Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:1-3.

-I believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that He is the very God manifested in the flesh. I believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary and vicarious death, His blood atonement on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension and present intercession at the right hand of God in behalf of believers. I believe in His personal, imminent and pre-millennial coming again, the rapture, the judgment of the nations and His glorious reign of one thousand years upon the earth. Matt. 11:27; Luke 1:3-35; John 8:46; I Peter 2:21-25; Eph. 1:7; Matt. 28:7; Acts 1:8-111; Heb. 7:25; I Thess. 4:14-18; I Cor. 15:51-52; Rev. 20:6.

-I believe in the Holy Ghost, the third person of the Godhead, as eternally existing with the Father and the Son; that He is a real person, not merely an influence, but the source of all power, acceptable worship and service; that He is our abiding comforter; that He never takes His departure from the church nor from the feeblest of the saints, but is ever present to testify of Christ, seeking to occupy us with Him and not with ourselves nor experiences. I believe that He leads man to repentance toward God and to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ unto salvation, by whom such saved ones are added to the one body; that He indwells and seals from the moment of our acceptance of Christ. John 7:38-39; 14:16-17; 15:26; 16:13-14; I Cor. 3:16; Acts 1:8; Rom. 8:9; Phil. 3:3; Eph. 1:13-14.

-I believe that man, made in the image and likeness of God, has fallen under condemnation through sin and is now totally depraved in his natural state. Gen. 1:26-27; 3:7-13; 6:5; 6:11-13; Ps. 51:2-5; Rom. 5:12-18; Eph. 2:2-5.

-I believe in salvation through the new birth and that this is possible only by grace through faith in the substitutionary death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Savior. John 3:3-7; Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 3:20-26; 4:24-25; 5:1, 9,19,20,21; II Cor. 5:19-21; Eph. 1:5-7; I Pet. 1:23; 2:24.

-I believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and without works of the law, but that they who believe should be careful to maintain good works. Acts 16:31; Rom. 4:1-5; Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 3:5-8; James 2:18-22; Gal. 5:6.

-I believe that scriptural sanctification is a setting apart unto a holy use: that it is progressive in the consecrated believer through the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit. I Cor. 1:2,30; Heb. 10:10; II Cor. 7:1; I Cor. 6:9-11; I Peter 1:2; II Thess. 2:13; I Thess 5:23-24; 3:13; Eph. 5:25-27.
